Welcome to Zae ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App") and our website, www.aezae.io (the "Site").
Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the application or site.
1. Collection of your information
We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect via the App and Site includes:
Personally identifiable information, such as your name, email address, gender, and demographic information like your age, that you voluntarily give to us when you register with the App.

Health and Wellness Data: Information related to your fitness and wellness journey, including workout history, sleep patterns, hydration levels, body composition data (weight, height, body fat percentage), and other metabolic metrics you choose to track.
Clinical Health Records & Uploaded Documents (Opt-In Only): If you explicitly authorize clinical integration in Settings → Connected Devices, or if you manually upload files and documents containing medical records (such as PDF blood test results), we collect this data. This may include: laboratory results (e.g., Vitamin D, ferritin, glucose, thyroid panels), ICD-10-coded medical conditions and diagnoses, active medication lists (RxNorm-coded), immunization records (CVX-coded), allergy and intolerance records, and clinical procedures. Clinical data and uploaded medical files are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM with Google Cloud KMS envelope encryption and are only readable by Zae Cloud Functions to enforce wellness safety gates (e.g., tightening fasting limits when diabetes is detected). Clinical record integration is OFF BY DEFAULT and may be revoked at any time, triggering permanent deletion of all stored clinical records and files within 30 days.
Reproductive & Biological Data: To provide personalized phase-based insights, we collect sensitive biological data if you choose to provide it. This includes menstrual cycle phases, pregnancy status and trimesters, postpartum recovery markers, lactation status, and menopausal or hormonal transitions.
Data from Smart Devices and Third-Party Services: With your explicit consent, we may collect data from third-party services like Google Fit, Apple Health, and Fitbit. This includes activity data (steps, calories burned, distance), workout details, sleep analysis, and other available metrics. We will only access the specific data points you authorize.
Social Data: Information related to your social connections within the App, which we call your "Tribe." This includes your connections and any interactions you have with them.
Derivative Data: Information our servers automatically collect when you access the App, such as your IP address, your browser type, your operating system, your access times, and the pages you have viewed directly before and after accessing the App.
Mobile Device Data: Device information such as your mobile device ID number, model, and manufacturer, and information about the location of your device, if you permit us to do so.
Advertising Identifiers (Free-Tier Users Only): If you use the App on the free tier, our advertising partner (Google AdMob) may access your device's advertising identifier (Apple IDFA on iOS, Google Advertising ID on Android), approximate IP-based location, device type, and ad interaction events (impressions, clicks). This information is used solely to display and measure third-party advertisements and is never combined with your health, biological, reproductive, or clinical data. Premium subscribers do not see third-party advertisements and no advertising identifiers are collected for ad-serving purposes.
Calendar Data (Opt-In Only): To align our AI wellness guidance with your schedule (for example, suggesting grounding exercises before a long meeting), we may request access to your device's calendar. We strictly only read event timestamps and durations. We never read, collect, or store event titles, attendees, locations, or notes, and raw calendar data is never shared with third parties.
Contacts Data (Opt-In Only): To help you find friends already using Zae, we may request access to your device contacts. Your contacts are hashed on your device using SHA-256 before being transmitted to Zae servers. We never receive, view, or store raw contact names, phone numbers, or email addresses. Hashed contact identifiers are used solely for friend discovery and are deleted when you disconnect contact sync or delete your account.
2. How we use your information
Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use information collected about you via the App to:
Create and manage your account.
Personalize your user experience, including providing insights and feedback on your wellness journey.
Enable user-to-user communications and display your profile to your "Tribe."
If you opt-in, share your fitness accomplishments and send notifications to your followers to inspire them.
Power the AEZAE AI system to provide proactive, phase-aligned wellness guidance and personalized recommendations based on your biological data.
Administer the Zae rewards ecosystem, including the calculation and distribution of AEUREI in-app loyalty rewards (which have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for legal tender).
Monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve your experience and refine our algorithms. Your personal biological data is anonymized before being used for any system-wide algorithmic improvements.
Notify you of updates to the App.
Request feedback and contact you about your use of the App.
For free-tier users only: Display third-party advertisements provided by Google AdMob and measure their performance (e.g., impressions, clicks). These advertisements are filtered to "PG" content rating to align with our wellness mission. Subscribing to a premium plan removes all third-party advertisements.
Not a Medical Device: Zae is a wellness platform designed to provide personalized biological insights. We do not provide medical advice, and the App is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. Your clinical data and lab results are used exclusively to inform wellness safety gates and optimize your fitness and nutrition recommendations. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider regarding any medical conditions or treatment.
3. Disclosure of your information
We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations. Your information may be disclosed as follows:
By Law or to Protect Rights: If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others.
With Your Tribe and Followers: With your consent, certain information from your profile and your activity accomplishments may be visible to other users you are connected with. You have control over what is shared via the widget settings in your profile.
Third-Party Service Providers: We may share your information with third parties that perform services for us or on our behalf, including data analysis, email delivery, hosting services, and customer service.
Third-Party APIs (e.g., Google Fit): Our use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
No Sale of Biological, Health, or Clinical Data (Apple HealthKit, Health Connect, and Clinical Records): We strictly prohibit the sale of your personal health, biological, reproductive, or clinical medical data. Data obtained through Apple HealthKit, Apple Health Clinical Records, Google Fit, Health Connect, or any connected healthcare provider portal will never be sold to data brokers, advertising platforms, insurers, or information resellers, nor will it be used for marketing or advertising purposes. Clinical data is encrypted server-side via AES-256-GCM with Google Cloud KMS envelope encryption and is used solely to power your personalized wellness experience and safety gates within the Zae ecosystem.
Third-Party Advertising (Free-Tier Only):* We use Google AdMob to display advertisements to free-tier users. AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier, IP address, and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads. AdMob's use of this information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and the Google AdMob Policies (https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads).
You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time: - iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → toggle off for Zae - Android: Settings → Google → Ads → "Delete advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalization"
Opting out does not remove ads — it only makes the ads less relevant to your interests.
No health, biological, reproductive, clinical, or hormonal data is ever shared with Google AdMob or any advertising partner under any circumstances.
4. Your choices and data deletion
You maintain full ownership of your biological data. You may at any time review, change, or request the permanent deletion of your information by:
• Logging into your account settings and selecting "Delete Account" under "Privacy & Data."
• Visiting our dedicated data deletion portal at www.aezae.io/delete-account.
• Contacting us directly at support@aezae.io.
You can also control which optional widgets are displayed on your profile and what activity data is shared with your followers through the settings screen in the App.
Upon requesting account deletion, all personal, health, and biological data will be permanently and irrevocably purged from our active servers within 30 days.
Advertising Choices: Free-tier users may control personalized advertising at any time through their device settings (see Section 3 above for instructions). Upgrading to a premium subscription permanently disables all third-party advertisements for your account.
5. Childre's policy
We do not knowingly solicit information from or market to children under the age of 13. If you become aware of any data we have collected from children under age 13, please contact us using the contact information provided below.
Our advertising partner, Google AdMob, is configured with `tagForChildDirectedTreatment` disabled and content rating capped at "PG," consistent with our 13+ minimum age requirement.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
